  • FEED THE KIDS DAY

    We thank all those who donated their time, money and supplies in making Feed The Kids Day a big success at Saint Lawrence church. We served over 600 hot dogs, 600 hamburgers, 20 sheets of pizza, 500 snow cones and 500 freezy pops.

    God Bless the 600 kids plus who came to have a wonderful time. We thank the parishioners from saint lawrence church, saint mary’s church in Cattaraugus and our wonderful staff at Saint Lawrence church for making Feed The kids Day a big success.

    Sweater Day

    HEY! PULL OVER!

    At Saint Francis Nursing Home today in Williamsville, New York, it was Buffalo Police Sweater Day. Residents were given a BPD Sweater. One of the residents wanted to know if wearing his sweater will get him out of a wheelchair speeding ticket!!!

    Puppy Love

    On February 10, 2012, parishioners at Saint Lawrence Church Blessed puppy “Copper Thomas” as he was given to one of our parishioners who has cancer.

    Copper Thomas is being trained as a therapy dog for cancer patients. May Copper Thomas bring many smiles and healing to our parishioner with Cancer and her family.

    When Father Joe Picked up Copper Thomas, Copper Thomas Baptized Father Joe as well!

    Thank you for all those who made this adoption of Copper Thomas Possible.

    FIRE VICTIMS

    Thanks to the Wonderful People of Buffalo and Mister Pizza, Saint Lawrence Church was able to feed the handicapped residents displaced by a fire in their apartments. The residents are staying at the Comfort Inn Hotel.

    Pizza, Chicken Wings, Beverages & other foods were given to the residents today December 22, 2011. Thank You To All for helping.

    Father Joe wishes to thank Mister Pizza (Mr. Anthony Collicchi) and La Nova Pizzeria (Todaro Family and Mr. Salvatore Pantano) for donating 30 sheets of Pizza, feeding both the Buffalo Fire Department and the Salvation Army during the fire at Niagara Lubricants.

    On May 7, 2011 Father Joseph F. Moreno from Saint Lawrence Church received the Buffalo News Butler Award for his outstanding Community Service to Law Enforcement.

    The award was given by The Buffalo Police Department PBA and the Buffalo News.

      Little Deaglan Carney is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Edward Carney a Transit Police Officer. Deaglan is being treated for a Brain Tumor at Children’s Hospital.

      Deaglan was presented an autographed hockey jersey from Bobby Orr by Officer Pat Panaro (BPD) and Father Joe Moreno Saint Lawrence Church. The Parishioners of Saint Lawrence Church presented Deaglan with a “Father Mickey Mouse Doll”.
